TUNDRA FONDERS MONTHLY UPDATE MARCH 2017

Frontier markets are making progress in terms of sustainable investments and during March, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange hosted a conference to present its new sustainability screened index. Tundra, as the only representative from the asset management industry, presented its view on sustainable investments at the event.

  • Frontier markets rose 2.3% during March (MSCI Frontier Markets xGCC Net, SEK), compared to emerging and developed markets +1.4% and +/-0% respectively.
  • As usual, the spread between the outperforming and the underperforming frontier markets was substantial. Argentina, Kenya and Nigeria rose 12%, 8% and 7% respectively, while Morocco, Sri Lanka and Pakistan fell 7%, 5% and 4% respectively.
